Since its inception, the Alta House has had many people not only serve on the board, but also many others, who have dedicated their time, talents and finances all for a common goal – to preserve the rich history of the building and what it stands for – caring for the community and honoring its Italian culture.
Michael Cipullo is COO of Minute Men HR Services. His family roots tie back to the Little Italy neighborhood and the Alta House where Mike attended preschool and joined Alta programs as a child. Mike was also the Youth Program Coordinator for the Alta House for several years .The Alta House has been an important part of his life and as the current president, Michael is dedicated to reviving the Alta House.
Dennis Strnad was born and raised in the Little Italy neighborhood and began to attend events at the Alta House at the age of 8 years old. Dennis began to work at The Alta House for the City of Cleveland at 14 years old and has been an intrical part of the operations since then. Dennis graduated from Cleveland State with a degree in Civil Engineering and now runs his family business handed down from his father. His admiration of bocce ball and the surrounding neighborhood makes him love being a part of the community and The Alta House.

Julia is in-house legal counsel at University Hospitals Health System (UH) in Cleveland. She received a BA in Political Science from Ohio University and a Juris Doctorate from Cleveland Marshall College of Law. Julia’s legal practice focuses on commercial contracts, immigration, and corporate governance. As legal counsel, she sits on a number of UH non-profit boards. Julia lives in Shaker Heights with her husband and three daughters. She joined the Alta House bocce league in 2019 and has been perfecting her “bocce” ever since. Julia’s goal in joining the Alta House Board is to perpetuate the heritage of Italian Americans, create awareness of Italian culture and participate in social
and cultural activities.
Maria Mastrandrea is a lifelong resident of Little Italy. Her very first job was at the Alta House, whereas a high school freshman, she was exposed to the Alta Board under the mentorship of Judy Gregorio. She currently works to provide HR services that help businesses grow and succeed. Maria follows in the footsteps of generations of family members that championed for the Alta House, Holy Rosary and the Little Italy Community. As an Italian immigrant, her father took US Citizenship and English classes at the Alta House so Maria is committed to bringing the Alta House mission full circle as an Italian Cultural Center.
